Film Location County Hall

County Hall. An incredible campus style site in Hertfordshire featuring an array of breathtakingly diverse interiors and exteriors, available for filming.

The site has many possibilities for filming. It could be an ideal double for a university, a hospital, a government building, a wedding venue, a school, or a residential block or mansion. The site, in addition to the many primary period buildings, also feature vacant residential houses, a partially vacant brutalist car park, and a playing field that can be trackwayed for unit basing.

The front portion is a vast red brick 1930’s art deco building, featuring a galleried event space, wood panelled board rooms, long corridors, staircases and high ceilings throughout. Unique covered archways offer unique external visuals, and there is ample parking.

To the rear, there is a brutalist architectural marvel, featuring original and immaculate 1960’s features such as cantilevered staircases, glass panelling, external concrete terraces and courtyards, and a multitude of internal spaces including a canteen, various offices, meeting rooms and corridors.

The loading bay and car park would be ideal doubles for a hospital entrance, a block of flats, or a retro or American office block.

As the site is active, it’s not possible to shut down all areas at once, but the owners are very flexible and happy to work with film crews and their requirements.
